Meet the inspiration behind "Minds Are Stellar" - A New Stellar M Service launched in Summer 2022

We have launched Minds Are Stellar, a Stellar M Services initiative to encourage creative and colorful virtual learning filled with academic life lessons that empower and focus on black and brown excellence. All lessons incorporate educational tools we encourage our clients to continue to subscribe to and follow for continued support. These original and creative educational lessons are a compilation of beautiful knowledge and information pulled from different creators including ones created by Stellar M Services founder Melissa Mitchell for children of all ages because Young Minds Are Stellar.

As many return to or continue in the world of virtual learning, let's refocus parents and childcare professionals creating Minds that Are Stellar. Our Little Supremes program for toddlers/pre-school children are filled with activities in: Creative Art, Science, Poetry, Writing, Math, a series called Knowledge In Black, His Story/Her Story-time Reading, MMM: Mindfulness, Meditation and Music and lastly a program entitled I AM (a program inspired by the technique & work of Jean Michel Basquiat) where our children can tap into their "inner artist" by writing an affirmation and then drawing a picture (or cutting out pictures) to match that affirmation. We finish the picture by placing Basquiat's signature crown where your Little Supreme desires on the picture. Our CHAMPION program for toddlers/pre-school children are filled with activities that deal with firsts to offer generational money management and healthy eating tips and tools. This is promoted through our programs entitled: Grow Early: My first lesson in money and management, Get Money: Lessons in Young Entrepreneurship, What is Generational Wealth, Farming: For Healthy Living and Cooking/Baking: For Healthy Living.

I would like to say that none of this --- and I do mean NONE of this --- would have come to mind had it not been for the creation of my two magnificent babies (my daughter and my son) who inspired me to "level-up" my method of teaching when homeschool became our reality during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Workbooks and basic pre-school videos were just not enough and I yearned for something greater to share with them. I wanted to challenge my daughter to truly think, feel and connect to images, thoughts, knowledge and conscious messages that would really advance her learning experience.

It has been both exciting and heart-warming to put together creative, relatable and fun lessons for such beautiful black & brown excellence!
